About Women OB/GYN began office hysteroscopy and the Essure procedure in October 2007 at the suggestion of our Conceptus Sales Representative. As we explored the idea amongst our physicians and staff, our Conceptus Sales Representative suggested that myself and a physician visit a practice in a neighboring city of Virginia to observe his office Essure procedures and practice protocols. After viewing the first procedure, we realized that this service could easily be integrated into our practice and provide our patients a more convenient and cost effective experience.

Since that time, we have truly valued the assistance of Conceptus in not only assisting my practice in the development of our office based program by providing us with a hysteroscopic tower system under their Essure Office Program but the marketing and patient outreach tools that have developed have become standard within my strategic marketing plan.

The impact of providing “point of service” delivery of procedures has been profound! Our practice metrics have reversed in the past two years from being weighted in Obstetrics (35%) to now weighted in Gynecology (65%) and ancillary services which yields much better production and quality of life for our physicians.
