The Experience Essure^®workshop, designed exclusively for Planned Parenthood Affiliates, is a learning opportunity for both physicians and operations personnel interested in successfully integrating hysteroscopic tubal occlusion into their clinic offering. Whether you are new to Essure or already offering it, this course is designed to take you to the next level. Join your colleagues to share best practices, enhance hysteroscopic skills, discover the latest in clinical innovation and ultimately provide better patient care. We are pleased to invite you to the Experience Essure Workshop for Planned Parenthood Affiliates. Join us at the Trump International Hotel & Tower in downtown Chicago for a one day interactive course designed to empower you with new tools, skills and ideas for offering and growing Essure in your Affiliate. At the end of this course you will: · Understand the evolution and clinical data on hysteroscopic tubal occlusion · Receive the tools and information necessary to successfully integrate Essure into your Affiliate · Successfully perform the Essure procedure in a virtual reality simulator Agenda Friday, May 20^th 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM Registration 6:30 PM Cocktails 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM Welcome Dinner / Keynote Speaker Kathryn Tunstall Chairman of the Board and Founder, Conceptus, Inc Saturday, May 21^st 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM Breakfast 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM General Session: All attendees Hysteroscopic Tubal Occlusion: A Decade of Clinical Experience Tamara Callahan MD, MPH Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN Dr. Callahan will present the evolution of hysteroscopic tubal occlusion including the latest clinical data with a focus on procedural success, effectiveness and safety. 9:15 AM – 10:45 AM Concurrent Physician/ Operations Breakout Session Physician Session – Hysteroscopy Skills and Essure Lab Speaker: Linda Bradley MD Vice Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health Institute, Director of The Fibroid and Menstrual Disorders Center and Director of Hysteroscopic Services. Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland OH This hands-on hysteroscopy lab will focus on techniques, managing complications and skills needed to improve patient outcomes. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice their hysteroscopy skills on both a dry lab model and the state-of-the art EssureSim computer simulation model. Operations Session – Integrating Essure into the Affiliate: from the front door to the recovery room Moderator: Teri Trivisonno MSN, CNP, Associate Director, Affiliate Clinical Operations PPFA Guest Speaker: Sue Speth, Director, Group Purchasing Organization Services, Afaxys, Inc Guest Speaker: Carla Monacelli, Argenta Advisors Reimbursement Consultants This session will take you through everything you need to know from an Operations perspective about offering Essure at the Affiliate. Contracts, equipment and staffing requirements, scheduling and reimbursement are just a few of the topics to be covered during this session 11 AM – 12:00 Developing Essure within your Affiliate Moderator: Planned Parenthood Affiliate Personnel A discussion on how to get started with Essure, increase patient awareness and satisfaction and ensure a successful Essure introduction in your affiliate. 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Lunch 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM General Session: Q & A Panel Listen to a panel of your peers as they discuss their Essure experiences and answer questions from the audience. The panel will consist of Planned Parenthood physicians and operations personnel who have integrated Essure into their Affiliates. 2:15 PM – 3:00 PM General Session: Closing Keynote Speaker 3:00 PM Adjourn
